I am American 🇺🇸 .

But I am not America 🇺🇸

For she is dying.

I intentionally chose LIFE.

She says I am second class.

I know I am first.

She says I am inherently inferior.

This is false.

She says I am too dark to be beautiful.

I tell her to kiss my chocolate 🍫  ass 🍑 .

Often, she says “I can’t.”

I respond, “bet I can!” 

Our relationship is toxic.

Clearly.

She won’t talk about our “secret.”

She won’t admit she hurt me.

She seems unwilling to change.

I am.

I am American 🇺🇸.

But I am not America 🇺🇸 .
