America πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Runs On… Double Standards

Written by:

As a plaintiff’s employment attorney for black women in toxic jobs, this notion of holding black women to higher standards is VERY familiar. Watching it on a national stage is disheartening.

Magic: we still execute; we go above and beyond. Black women are the most educated demographic in the United States. Somehow, we are significantly underpaid. Some black women make poverty wages. Black women across the nation can visualize their experience through the Black Woman Employee Lifecycle – you know, that chart I keep talking about.

Alas, not even the U.S. Vice President is immune from the plague that is misogynoir (i.e., prejudice against black women.) Put on a blindfold, America πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ. When comparing resumes: Vice President Harris is the most qualified person to ever run for President of the United States. Her opponent, on the other hand, is a felon of 34 fraud-related counts, an adjudicated sexual abuser, a renowned slum lord, a well-documented white supremacist, a toxic boss, and a xenophobe.

OK, now, take off the blindfold. You seem surprised to learn that the most qualified person for the job is a black, Indian woman. Mother America πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ, you have a prejudice problem. Prejudice leads to discrimination and oppression.

A black woman could NEVER have Donald Trump’s record and be the presidential candidate on a major party ticket. Never. In America πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ, only white men are allowed to break laws with impunity and still feel entitled to the most powerful office in our nation. It’s flabbergasting.

Harris’ resume runs laps around her opponent’s. No contest. She is a demonstrated public servant. Her opponent is not. The bottom line is: Donald Trump was the first person in years to serve as President of the United States WITH NO prior political experience and/or military service. In my mind, it’s WEIRD to have your first job as a “public servant” be the U.S. President. πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

Despite the stark contrast between the candidates, the polls indicate that the presidential race will be “close.” There are three factors that contribute to the confusing poll numbers: (1) sexism; (2) racism; and (3) misinformation/disinformation. I have confidence in Vice President Harris’ ability to slay this three-headed giant and win the 2024 Presidential Election πŸ—³ .

Final Thoughts

Back in July, I self-published an article claiming that America πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ may be more sexist than racist. I hope for our country’s sake I am wrong. If I am right, I told you so. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Look, I don’t want Madame Vice President Harris to be another statistic: a promoted black woman without support. Those Americans who truly support Vice President Harris’s campaign must do her a favor and vote blue throughout the ballot. Set her up for success, not failure. Don’t force another black woman through the vicious employment lifecycle. America πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ is on the respirator; soon, we find out if she survives.
