Obama was never the anti-Christ.
The Right-wing machine threw that accusation around like spiritual shrapnel during his presidency — coded dog whistles and Fox News scrolls thick with barely cloaked bigotry. They called him a “secret Muslim,” claimed his birth certificate was fake, swore up and down he was ushering in an apocalypse of godless liberalism. Some went as far as to anoint him the literal anti-Christ. The Beast. The End Times embodied.
Let me say this clearly, plainly, theologically:
It was never Obama. It’s Trump.
As a preacher’s kid, I grew up with the Book of Revelation in my bones. I know what to look for. You don’t have to believe in end times prophecy to know when something is demonic. You just have to watch how power is wielded.
Let me put you on game.
Exhibit A: The City of Angels, Under Siege
California used to be a part of Mexico. In many ways, it still is. Deploying military force in Los Angeles — a multicultural, majority-Black and Brown city, in response to protest? That ain’t divine order. That’s fascism. Trump sent National Guard troops to silence dissent. (CNN source)
The irony of using tanks against civilians in a city named for angels is so grotesque it could only be authored by someone spiritually bankrupt. Put simply: it’s demonic af.
Protest is not just protected under the First Amendment — it is sacred.
The streets have always been where truth tells on power.
Trump’s legal team forgot to brief him on what “the right to assemble” actually means. (First Amendment refresher)
Exhibit B: Immigration as White Power Policy
If you haven’t read my earlier post — “If the White Hood Fits” — do that. Trump’s immigration stance was never about “security.” It’s always been about racial purity. His policies systemically privilege white Europeans and white South Africans while criminalizing Black, Brown, Indigenous, and immigrant communities from the Global South. ICE doesn’t just need oversight — it needs a moral reckoning.
Exhibit C: Sunday’s Sermon
Turn on any sermon worth its salt right now — Black churches, progressive synagogues, mosque pulpits, street corner prophets. They’re all saying the same thing:
This is fascism in real time. Recall Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde’s plea for mercy.
Here’s the bottom line: The government should not be targeting protestors with drones and rubber bullets while refusing to hold a man accountable for his felony counts and gross miscarriage of justice.
California: The Resistance Has Money
California is the richest state in the union.
If we withheld federal funds, D.C. would feel it before breakfast. If we wanted to secede, we could. We won’t — but the thought is not as far-fetched as it used to be.
Governor Gavin Newsom needs to be in court yesterday, seeking a writ of certiorari, defending Californians, even those who are undocumented. We don’t need the National Guard. We need national guardrails on a man’s trigger finger and unchecked power.
A “More Perfect Union”… If Led by Women
America has never really trusted women with power. Not spiritually, not politically, not economically. And until this country welcomes women — especially Black women — into leadership without suspicion or sabotage, every pledge to build a more perfect Union will remain just that: a pledge. Lip service on parchment.
Harris would have given us car seats and homes – a true gift to expecting families.
Trump gives us chaos, cruelty, and campaign stunts at gunpoint.
Fascism is here.
And it’s time to call it what it is.
I hate to say I told you so but recall my previous article on American Fascism.

It’s dangerous to ignore a black woman’s warning. Alas, here we are.
