The energy this Fourth of July is STALE af…
We’re just not feeling it this year…
Many of us are still riding the wave of a disappointing debate.
Most of us are scared of our nation’s whereabouts.
#blkgrlmgclwyr is scared, too.
But I can see what’s going on…
I can see the truth, even though it’s distasteful.
America 🇺🇸 has a problem with women leaders.
I’ve noticed.
I was in high school when Obama won his first term.
My American History teacher (a white lady) told me Obama would win the Democratic nomination over Clinton because black men were granted the right to vote before all women (across racial groups).
Obama is a black man.
But he is still a man.
Clinton’s 2016 loss had more to do with her gender than anything else.
She was BEYOND qualified!
The uncomfortable truth is that some American men WILL NOT vote
for a woman presidential candidate merely because she is a woman.
Gross!
My husband (Michael) and I talked about it.
Sexism often hides behind the veil of “likability” 👀👀
For some American men, “likability” matters more than policy.
Silliness.
What’s unlikable about Hillary Clinton?
Elizabeth Warren?
Vice President Harris??
Stacey Abrams??
These women are all great leaders, in this black woman lawyer’s mind.
These women all sing the America
I would love to see.
America 🇺🇸 would thrive under a woman’s hand.
I ask now: what’s the REAL root of America’s cold shoulder to women leaders?
I got it:
Men don’t like being told what to do.
Men especially don’t like it when WOMEN tell them what to do!
What is it, men?
Reminds you guys too much of mom?
What’s wrong with mom?
Do you hate her?
If so, HEAL!
Our nation depends on it.
Personally, I think Joe Biden is doing a good job.
He had a bad debate night.
I told him to call me; I wish he did.
Debating is #blkgrlmgclwyr’s JAM!
I don’t think Biden should drop out (yet)!
If he does, another SAUSAGE should NOT replace him.
America 🇺🇸 needs a detox from male Leadership 🙏🏾🙏🏾
America’s 🇺🇸 longevity will depend on our collective willingness to change.
Women are natural leaders, and should be embraced as such.
